Roch Carrier

Roch Carrier was born on May 13, 1937 (75). He is a Canadian novelist and author of "contes" (a very brief from of the short story). He was born in Sainte-Justine Quebec. He studied at the College St-Louis in New Brunswick, the Universite de Montreal in Quebec and at the Sorbonne in Paris, France, where he recieved a PhD in Literature. In 1991 he was made an officer of The Order of Canada. He is also the author of the children's book called "The Hockey Sweater." This is a story about Carrier when he was a young boy who orders a Monteral Canadians sweater from the Eaton's catalog but recieves a Toronto Maple Leafs Jesery.
