PSII: GS Lakie Middle School, Lethbridge

During this practicum I had the opportunity to teach a Short Story unit to  grade eights, specifically, four classes of grade eights for a total of 80
students.

I created a short story unit titled  "Change: The Long and Short of it."  I chose this theme because change  happens every day, it can be as simple as changing your socks or as significant  as changing schools (these students were in the middle of choosing the high  school they would attend).  Most stories deal with change and it is a  theme most everyone encounters.

This was a  great practicum and I feel I began to "hit my stride" as an educator.   Although it was not easy, I made every effort to get to know the
students all of my students.

PSII Summative Report

"Very professional!  Adaptable and created a variety of different lessons."
